Creating "something" whether it be an art doll, folk art portrait, teddy bear, or mixed media collage - whatever it may be it - has been a love of mine since I was a small child and I am so fortunate that I am able to keep creating to this day.
Along with my love of making art I have always had a passion for collecting pieces of old - a beautifully old tattered linen cloth or maybe old buttons and trinkets found in an old rusty coffee tin. I absolutely relish in gathering these treasures and finding a new place and purpose for these wonderful old relics. You may find an old trinket on a ribbon or string hanging around a teddy bears neck or maybe old pages from a discarded book in one of my paintings - I truly enjoy finding ways to incorporate my love of creating art and my love of gathering sweet old treasures.
